My emphasis will be on fostering collaborative partnerships that lead to innovations which support parents, teachers and school district staff in their efforts to maintain a high quality public education system. All new initiatives must be viewed through the lens of cost benefit analysis to ensure our schools are operating as efficiently as possible.
I fully embrace the strategic goals of the Board to support PCOE program students to achieve academically for their chosen career path, foster regional programs to respond to specific challenges and implement technology that promotes productivity among students, teachers and school districts.
One of my greatest strengths is my ability to appreciate a variety of perspectives when it comes to problem solving. It is through objective evaluation that we can find and implement solutions to the array of challenges that face our school districts. As a parent, I have seen my son blossom and excel because of the tremendously talented parent volunteers, teachers and district staff at his schools. It is my goal to see this nurturing environment continue for all of Placer County’s students.
