If you were to open the door of my son’s bedroom it would look much like my business right now: chaotic and messy. This 21 Day Challenge has me moving in several different directions and juggling too many balls. However, unlike my son, I am not leaving my underwear on the floor…yet.
Day 6 had me at The Studio Center recording videos for my website, one of the challenges I set for myself. Fortunately I was organized and prepared with all my props and change of clothes. Frank Cassanova was great walking me through all the steps, literally and figuratively.
So at the age of 48 I have found my new dream job. It was way to easy to stand in front of a
TelePrompTer and be the center of attention in an empty studio. Who knew I could be gregarious to a camera. Of course, Frank and Fred still have to add background pictures, video and text for the final product. But overall I was pleased.
Without the 21 Day Challenge I would most likely have pushed off the date and possibly scrubbed the whole plan. The business person in me always wants to do marketing on the cheap. Although, when you produce videos on the cheap, they look cheap.
The bigger question is, “Will there be a return on the investment?” Only time will tell if the videos are effective in creating awareness of my business and who I am. Right now I don’t have time to contemplate either the success or failure of the investment. I need to start planning for Day 7.
