Online Application Functionality Update

Report a Change 2014
Only certain certified individuals can Report a Change to a consumer’s account for 2014. Consumers can only report changes for 2015. Only Certified Insurance Agents, County Eligibility Workers and CC Service Center Representatives will be allowed to make changes for 2014 to the consumer’s account.

Address Validation
Zip codes can span different counties and thereby different regions. It’s important to select the proper county that the consumer resides within. It must be based on the residence and not the mailing address. The CalHEERS system will validate the address and return a message of either confirmation or that additional information is needed.

Global header and footer
Covered California updated the online system so that the headers and footers are consistent across the different websites. They also added some more navigation options and additional help buttons to guide the consumer through the process.
