Whenever you go shopping for a product or service you hope to find a salesperson you can ‘click’ with. It is nice to find someone who is on the same ‘wave length’ as you. We all know there is a lot of ignorance and intolerance in the world and we would just as soon avoid it if at all possible.

I created this page to let folks know that I support the Lesbian, Gay, Transgender and Bi-Sexual communities. We were all born a certain way and we need to live out our lives with as little hassle as possible.

I am an independent health and life insurance agent representing several carriers in California. My focus is on families, individuals, small business and small groups. I also represent several Medicare Supplement and Advantage plans for Medicare eligible folks. While my primary focus is in the northern California greater Sacramento region, I welcome the opportunity to talk to anyone who might have questions.

Two dads and a son.

If you are in the market for an individual or family plan, you can go to my home page to get a quote or you can call or email me. If you have a small business and are interested in a small group plan, please call me and we can talk about available plans in your area.

Social Security benefits for Same Sex Couples

On June 26, 2013, the Supreme Court ruled that Section 3 of the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) is unconstitutional. Therefore, Social Security no longer is prevented from recognizing same-sex marriages for purposes of determining entitlement to or eligibility for benefits. Social Security is now processing some retirement, surviving spouse and lump-sum death payment claims for same-sex couples and paying benefits where they are due. If you are in, or are a surviving spouse of a same-sex marriage or other legal same-sex relationship, we encourage you to apply right away for benefits.
