To be fair and balanced, all health insurance plans should include a maternity option as well as ‘no cost’ contraceptives. Regardless of whether the contraceptive was for a man or woman, contraceptives should be made available to anyone who wants to prevent an unwanted pregnancy, free of charge.
The Oregon study provides striking results for its first year. The group that gained Medicaid coverage was significantly more likely to have received care from a hospital or a doctor, or to use prescription drugs, belying the notion that enrollees could not find providers. The insured group was far more likely to get preventive care, like mammograms, and to have a regular doctor.
My parents made many decisions for me that I did not agree with. Most of those decisions were reversible, but not circumcision. How many body parts do we have that are extraneous and don’t serve some sort of purpose. OK, nipples on men don’t make much sense.
