New themes and plugins pop-up all the time, but when they don’t make the authors any money, they are abandoned, and so are the users. The big WordPress organization lets their vast number of users be sort of an animal testing ground. As a novice WordPress user I have been relatively happy with the traffic my blog posts have generated. But as a commerce site the other measurement that my site is really connecting with my audience is the number of people who email or call with questions. I was able to generate more “person to person” interaction after I added some simple invitations to my website.
It all melted down when I started getting the 503 message: “503 Service Temporarily Unavailable. The server may be down for maintenance or it has reached the maximum of concurrent users”. Once the 503 happens the website and the dashboard shuts down, locks up, or crashes.
