Senator Mitch McConnell (R-Ky) and John Cornyn (R-Tex) have sent letters to major league sports organizations urging them not to cooperate with the President Obama’s marketing push to make all U.S. citizens aware that they can enroll in affordable health insurance for 2014. Can you host a health care reform party at your home to push back against the organized opposition fighting to see the Affordable Care Act fail?

Anthem Blue Cross New Simplified Dental Plans
One of the spillover effects from the Affordable Care Act is that the insurance companies are streamlining not only their health insurance plans but their ancillary insurance products like dental and vision. Anthem Blue Cross has just released new dental and vision plans that are straight forward and easy to understand.
Marriage Equality Rally Celebrates U.S. Government
DOMA was not repealed by congress. Prop 8 was not voted out by the people in a new election. No elected official introduced or passed any laws that worked to strike down DOMA or Prop 8. The un-elected justices of the Supreme Court did what no politician could; remove the discrimination against same sex couples from getting married.
Will Mormon missionaries start trolling Facebook for recruits?
It was a quick sharing of an article to Facebook on how Mormon missionaries will be using social media in their out reach efforts that started the conversation. I prefaced the news story with “First we had to worry about perverts targeting our children on the Internet, now it’s the Mormon Church.” That prompted […]
Children’s Dental Insurance added to Covered California
Children’s dental insurance options have now been added to the line of plans being offered through California’s health insurance exchange Covered California. Their goal is to inflict maximum damage to either the people in the news or to another online comment supporting the topic. While their exercise is little more than mental masturbation for their atrophied intellectual beliefs, […]
Humbug Trail Waterfalls and Tunnels
The destination was the outlet of the great North Bloomfield Tunnel that dumped gold bearing sediment from Malakoff Diggins into Mercury laden sluice flumes. We had seen the sign at the head of Humbug Trail indicating the trail was closed because of a damaged bridge. A little bridge doesn’t stop hikers on a mission…usually. But this one did.
Aetna Drops Individual Health Insurance in California
Aetna hinted in their announcement that a combination of the new health insurance exchange and required benefits forced them to pull the plug on their individual plans. In recent years, Aetna has never been very competitive in terms of price with other carriers such as Anthem Blue Cross, Health Net and Blue Shield of California
